Fishing Area:
From Mpalane Bay, in front of Nkwazi Lake Lodge, Pump Station, the bay as you pass the KZN Wildlife campsites, Elephant Bay in 3- 6m of water and towards the mouth of the river where it enters the main Dam. Just be careful of submerged structures in the water.

Average Size:
Tiger Fish caught during the month ranged from 1kg 3.2kg.

Biggest Fish:
The largest one of 3.2kg was caught on sardine.

Other Conditions:
The Dam level has increased slightly due to the influx of water from upstream.

Total Tiger Fish:
An average of 387 Tiger Fish were caught off the Pongola Game Reserve boats. Live bait was the bait of the month! Sardines, Spoons, Rapalas, Spinners and other artificial bait also worked very well.

Barbel:
A few Barbel and Bream were also caught while fishing for Tiger Fish, using sardines and chicken hearts.

Bait of the Month:
Live bait was the bait of the month! Sardines, Spoons, Rapalas, Spinners and other artificial bait also worked very well. Orange & Red Rapalas.
