Fishing Area:
From Mpalane Bay, in front of Nkwazi Lake Lodge, Pump Station, the bay as you pass the KZN Wildlife campsites, Elephant Bay in 3- 6m of water and towards the mouth of the river where it enters the main Dam. Just be careful of submerged structures in the water.

Average Size:
Tiger Fish caught during the month ranged from 1kg 3.9kg

Biggest Fish:
The largest one of 3.9kg was caught on sardine.

Other Conditions:
The Dam level has once again decreased very slightly.

Total Tiger Fish:
An average of 372 Tiger Fish were caught off the Pongola Game Reserve boats. Sardines, Live Bait, Spoons, Rapalas, Spinners and other artificial bait worked very well. Lots of good fish were caught during this month, a great start to the fishing season!

Barbel:
A few Barbel and Bream were also caught while fishing for Tiger Fish, using sardines and chicken hearts.

Bait of the Month:
Red & White Rapalas.
