Road Directions: The pin drop above will take you to the reserves Dabula gate for Mvubu and Inyati, you can use the pin up until 10km from destination then you can follow directions below for the other lodges.

From Durban:

• Take the N2 North, passing Empangeni and Mkuze.

​

Nkwazi, Nhlangwe, Sondaba, Mpalane, Mhlozi, Nkwazi River Bungalows

• Continue approximately 44 km on the N2 toward Pongola town.

• Turn left at the Pongola Game Reserve Leeukop Gate, the Pongola Game Reserve Entrance Gate will be on your right, visible signposts.

• Gate Hours: 06h00 - 18h00

Please take note: When using the Leeukop Gate: There is a train bridge you need to go under, clearance measurements: height 3.3m and width 6.1m. Alternatively, you can utilise the South Gate/ White Elephant Gate. The South Gate has strict gate hours (06h00-18h00) and an entrance fee will be charged at R25 per vehicle and R25 per boat or trailer.

Mvubu, Inyati

• From Pongola, travel approximately 40km South on the N2.​

• Turn right at the Golela turn off, continue for 4Km along the Golela Road. 

• Pongola Game Reserve entrance will be on your right hand side, well signposted.

• Follow the Camp signs within the reserve.​

 

From Johannesburg or Pretoria:

• Via Ermelo, continue on the N2 to Piet Retief and Pongola.

• From Pongola, travel approximately 31km South on the N2.

• Turn right at the Pongola Game Reserve Leeukop Gate, the Pongola Game Reserve Entrance Gate will be on your right, visible signposts.

•  From Pongola, travel approximately 28km South on the N2.

• Turn left at the Golela turn off, continue for 4Km along the Golela Road. 

• Pongola Game Reserve entrance will be on your right hand side, well signposted.

• Follow the Camp signs within the reserve.

 

Note: The internal access roads within the Game Reserve are gravel roads, well-maintained, and suitable for normal clearance cars and bakkies. Vehicles with very low clearance and low profile tires are not recommended for these roads.
