Fishing Area:
River stretch, Nkwazi boathouse, Crocodile Bay, Rhino Bay, at the entrance of the dam, near the KZN campsite bend and opposite Nkwazi

Average Size:
1.7 kg Tiger fish

Biggest Fish:
A 4.1kg was the largest Tiger fish that was caught in April. It was caught on sardines and chicken liver in sunny conditions with clear water clarity at the tree at the dam entrance. (Dumi was the skipper). An 8kg Barbel was caught with sardines with clear water clarity on an overcast and windy afternoon. (Bonga was the skipper)

Other Conditions:
The water clarity has improved during the month. The algae is decreasing but is still present. It is not affecting the fishing though. Being autumn with winter around the corner both water temperature and water level has decreased. Fish were biting mostly on sardines and we did have several fish caught in April. The best spot for April was opposite KZN Wildlife Slipway.
