Clean water, but still a bit murky upstream towards the Nkwazi Lake Lodge Jetties.

Fishing Area:
Below Nkwazi Lake Lodge, but be careful of tree stumps in the water, the bay when you pass where the Fish Eagle Safari Boat is moored, Pump Station, the bay as you pass the KZN Wildlife campsites towards the border, Elephant Bay in 3- 6m of water and towards the mountain near the trees in the water. Elephant Bay continues to be the most popular fishing spot. The mouth of the dam where the clean and dirty water meet is also a good fishing spot.

Average Size:
Tiger Fish caught during the month ranged from 1kg 3.4kg.

Biggest Fish:
The largest one of 3.4kg was caught on sardine. Lures - Bright colours.

Other Conditions:
The Dam level has come up nicely due to the rains received upstream, and is still rising slowly.

Total Tiger Fish:
Plenty Tigers were caught this month, with an average of 806 Tiger Fish being caught off the Pongola Game Reserve boats, a big improvement over last month!

Barbel:

Bait of the Month:
Chicken livers, chicken hearts and live bait also worked well.
